Jonesboro’s Salvation Army is not resting in its work to serve the homeless. Volunteers are doing systematic cleaning and disinfecting of the building. The shelter currently has open beds for 2 females and 4 males. The family room is also available. Social services is still open 9 am to 3 pm weekdays but may be moving to a “by appointment only” policy by Monday. The evening meal (5:30 PM) to the public is carry-out only. So to-go boxes are provided to all other than residents.
Items still in need: Food, hygiene products for men & women. Cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, soap and laundry detergent.
