Because of overwhelming response, Thursday’s Opportunity Zones seminar has been moved to the A-State First National Bank Arena auditorium. Enter through the lower Red Entrance.
The seminar, designed for real estate developers and attorneys, contractors, CPAs and bankers, is designed to educate investors about the basics and benefits of Jonesboro’s state-declared Opportunity Zones. It is set for 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 27, and is sponsored by the City, Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Jonesboro Alliance, and Waddell, Cole and Jones Attorneys.
Designated by Gov. Asa Hutchison, the Opportunity Zones create tax incentives for businesses with their boundaries.
Jonesboro was awarded three Opportunity Zones: downtown, the industrial park and near the campus of Arkansas State University.
