Mayor Harold Perrin, current president of the Arkansas Municipal League, helped dedicate the new campus of the AML on Wednesday in North Little Rock.
The campus is named in the memory of long-time director Don Zimmerman, whose efforts helped create the body that provides myriad services for Arkansas cities and helps train newly elected officials and city employees on state laws.
Zimmerman’s widow, Jan, and current AML executive director Mark Hayes also paid tribute to Don, telling a room of 80-plus city officials from around the state of his efforts to support cities and make Arkansas hometowns run smoothly.
