Last night the Jonesboro Fire Department 2019-20 Awards was held to honor individuals for their outstanding service.
Firefighter of the Year went to Derrick Donnell, and Officer of the Year was Brent Deckard.
The Jonesboro Fire Department Award of Commendation for their actions on January 31, 2019 at 2008 Prescott Lane went to Captain Lance Harper, Captain Rickey Howton, Captain Greg Johnson, Driver Barkley Exum, Driver Kyle Kelly, Driver William Lewis, Firefighter Judd Alsup, Firefighter Adam Bobbitt, Firefighter Derrick Donnell, Firefighter Rocky Gates, Dispatcher Cristy Hundley, and Dispatcher Danyeal Taylor.
A badge pinning ceremony also took place for new firefighters Carter Keith and Michael Russell.
