[ARCHIVED] Mayor Attends Gov. Hutchinson Announcement to Improve Arkansas Roads & Highways

Mayor Harold Perrin with Governor Asa Hutchinson

Mayor Perrin attended Gov. Hutchinson’s announcement of the effort to upgrade Arkansas highways and roads Friday morning in Little Rock. The governor said the ballot initiative to extend the current tax will protect $43 million to repair Arkansas’ crumbling infrastructure, as well as create thousands of construction jobs and billions in economic impact.  Hutchinson said Arkansas desperately needs improved farm-to-market roads, and major highways and bridges are beset with flaws.
Pictured here are First National Bank Vice Chairman Will Brewer, Perrin, Hutchinson and Bay Mayor Darrell Kirby. Arkansas State University President Chuck Welch (with Perrin) and ArDOT Commissioner Alec Farmer of Jonesboro also attended. To learn more about the election, go online to voteforroads.com.
