The Chairman of the Nominating & Rules Committee, Chris Gibson, has called a special meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center, 300 S. Church Street. The meeting is being held to discuss a resolution to make appointments and reappointments to various boards and commissions as recommended by Mayor Harold Perrin to include: Advertising and Promotions, Auditorium Commission, Board of Adjustments and Appeals, Board of Zoning Adjustments, Building Facilities Committee, Capital Improvement Committee, Civil Service Commission, Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library Board, Craighead County Regional Solid Waste Management District & Craighead County Solid Waste Disposal Board, Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Planning and Advisory Committee, Master Street Plan, Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, Municipal Airport Commission, and the Revenue Enhancement Committee. It is also being held to discuss a resolution by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to appoint members to the Oversight Integrity Council.
