The Northeast Arkansas Regional Transportation Planning Commission will hold a public involvement meeting Tuesday, July 23, in Jonesboro to present and discuss the Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian Innovation Study.
The Highway 141 STEP Study addresses pedestrian and bicyclist safety on Arkansas 141 (North Church Street) between Allen Avenue and Alpine Street, identifies potential measures to address current and long‐term needs, and provides recommendations for implementation.
A separate Highway 91 STEP Study includes a temporary pedestrian crossing near the intersection of Arkansas 91 (E. Johnson Avenue) and State Street. Public input is sought on the Arkansas 141 plan and the temporary crossing installation at Arkansas 91/State Street.
The meeting will be held in open house format 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Park Community Center, 1506 N. Church Street. For more information, contact MPO Director Cecelie Cochran at 870‐933‐4623 or CCochran@jonesboro.org.
