The primary mission of the Mayor's Youth Advancement Council of Jonesboro is to involve youth in community issues and decisions, to advise the Mayor and City Council of the youth’s perspective, and to empower future leaders to become engaged within their community. The council is made up of local 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students from Jonesboro schools, including Jonesboro High, Nettleton High, Valley View High, and Westside High. The council currently has five task force departments:

BOO in the 'BORO
The Mayor’s Youth Advancement Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas is excited to host an event on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31st, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm, in historic Downtown Jonesboro, BOO in the 'BORO! This event will be safe, free, and fun for our entire community to enjoy.
We invite you and your family to participate in this exciting “trunk or treat" event. There will be tons of candy, games, entertainment, a photo booth, face painting, and much more for all ages to enjoy.
All of the Jonesboro community will be welcome and there will be activities planned for all age groups.
This event will take place at Union Park, 405 Union Avenue, and will be completely free of charge for any individual who wants to attend. Click HERE for more information.
