The Northeast Arkansas Regional Transportation Planning Commission (N.A.R.T.P.C.) serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the region. We are responsible for helping plan and program federal planning funds for transportation improvement projects within the region. On June 25, 2019, the N.A.R.T.P.C., in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration, hosted a federal workshop regarding application of the Bikeway Selection Guide in the transportation planning process! The plan offers guidance on incorporating bicycle infrastructure in new road improvement projects to help increase public safety and accessibility.
