Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for all aspects of accounting and funds management for the city. It consists of ten employees who perform record keeping, accounts payable, purchasing, revenue collections, budgeting, semi-monthly payroll, and financial reporting.

Each month, the purchasing and accounts payable staff process an average of 350 checks averaging $2.0 million.  The Payroll Specialist processes the $850,000 payroll twice a month for an average of 550 employees.

The finance team is composed of the following:  Finance Director, Staff Accountant, a City Financial Accountant, a Purchasing Agent, a Collections Officer, an Asst Finance Director, two Accounting Specialists, three Accounting Technicians, and one College Intern.
