Engineering
Engineering provides all engineering services for all the city departments. Duties include inspecting new streets and subdivisions, reviewing subdivision plans before they go to the planning commission, and reviewing drainage problems.
The department has recently helped obtain 180 easements for a drainage project with the Corps of Engineers, and is currently working on a permit extension for a class 4 landfill, and constructing a plan for bicycle paths in Jonesboro.
