Jonesboro Vision 2030 is designed to be a community-driven plan. This plan will require extensive participation on behalf of the public in order to truly access where the community aims to be in the next twenty years. The Comprehensive Planning Advisory Commission (CPAC) will enthusiastically commit to follow the guidelines for a true community-driven plan. The purpose of public participation is to give the citizens of Jonesboro an opportunity to share ideas with fellow citizens, public officials, and CPAC on the development of Jonesboro Vision 2030. This plan will recognize the creativity of its citizens throughout the planning process. The committee further recognizes that it is every citizen’s right to participate in the process of making local government decisions. A tremendous amount of time, finances, and energy will be placed into this planning effort. Not wanting any of these investments to go to waste, active participation by the community will ensure that Jonesboro Vision 2030 will stand for years to come.
