City Attorney
Phillip Crego is the City Attorney for the City of Jonesboro and does criminal prosecution on misdemeanors only.
Misdemeanors can be traffic violations given by police officers, contempts of court, or by an affidavit. Affidavits for summons on criminal prosecution of alleged criminal acts (i.e. harassment, harassing communications, domestic battery; criminal mischief, thefts less than $500.00; etc) can be filed in the City Attorney's office by the victim.
The court days for the City are handled on Mondays and Wednesdays. Trials begin at 9:00am and pre-trials at 1:30pm on those days.
