Jonesboro Municipal Airport is owned by the City of Jonesboro. The City has established the Jonesboro Municipal Airport Commission, which consists of seven (7) board members, to provide recommendations concerning all airport matters. The Airport Manager, appointed by the Airport Commission, has the day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the Airport. However, the Airport Commission is responsible for the operation and development needs of the airport, as well as the compliance with all federal, state and local regulations that pertain to the operation of the airport. The airport is located approximately three (3) miles east of the Central Business District (CBD) of Jonesboro. The Airport Reference Point (ARP) is located at Latitude 35⁰ 49’ 52.269” N, and Longitude 90⁰ 38’47.098” W. Jonesboro Municipal Airport, classified as a commercial service airport by the FAA’s National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS), has an elevation of 262 feet above mean sea level (AMSL) and has property consisting of approximately 1,000 acres. Currently, the airport is served by Air Choice One which provides three (3) flights per day, on average, to St Louis Missouri. Craighead County is located in northeast Arkansas and has a population of 75,991. Many business and industrial opportunities abound in the community and county.
