Jonesboro Economical Transportation System (JETS)

JETS is an acronym for Jonesboro Economical Transportation System and it has been providing public transportation for the City of Jonesboro since May 2006. JETS offers both Fixed Route and Para-transit service, all within the city limits to the citizens of Jonesboro. All JETS vehicles are equipped with wheelchair access.

JETS Fixed Route service is currently provided via five routes that cover much of West, North, Central, East, and Northeast Jonesboro. Four of JETS five routes operate on 30-minute loops. JETS Fixed Route Service also has stops in the western-most portion of the Jonesboro Industrial Park.

For those who have functional mobility limitations, JETS is required by FTA to provide complementary Para-transit service within ¾ of a mile of its Fixed Route service.

To become a user of JETS Paratransit service, an individual must pre-qualify.  Additionally, Paratransit service must be scheduled the day before a trip is wanted.  The fare for each leg of a Paratransit trip is $2.50.  Contact JETS Paratransit Coordinator for additional information about JETS complementary Paratransit service.
